Reading Log 2011

I have decided to continue the reading log I began in 2010, listing all the books I complete in 2011. I will list by title, author, type of work, writer's country of origin, original date of publication with date of translation if not originally in English, and date read. An entry preceded by an (R) is a book that I am rereading, usually after many years. An asterisk indicates a book I particularly enjoyed. I may also from time to time post short reviews of some of the works listed here; the titles of those works will be linked to the reviews.

Hello Hedgie, over two years ago you left a post on my own blog regarding my responsibilities to becoming a nurse, the financial burdens that go along with it, and following my dreams. I wanted to take the time to thank you immensely for your comment. After all of this time, I still remember it, and whether you realize it or not it was somewhat of a shining light for me in the darkness. I thought of that comment today, and I came looking for who it was from, and I stumbled back upon your own blog. I wanted to let you know that I will be graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing this May 2011, and I am thrilled to begin my career as a nurse. I am happy that I stuck with it, and that despite all of the hardships it caused me, it has afforded me with a plethora of opportunities that I will be sure not to miss. Thanks again, and I hope all is well. =)

Congratulations!! I'm thrilled that you decided to follow your dream and have fulfilled it. My own birthday is in May, so I'll regard your graduation as a birthday present, and thank you very much for sharing it with me. I hope your future even exceeds any expectations you have for it now, and thanks for taking the time to let me know that I may have had just a tiny bit to do with your achievement. Best wishes to you in everything that comes your way.

Hedgie
